"Keyserling - knowledge and meaning" by Kitty Film Cinema Original Air Date
Arnold Keyserling (1922 - 2005) was a great-grandson Bismarck and philosophers came from a traditional family. He lived several years in India and was one of the first European thinker, the spiritual teachers of other cultural groups invited to Austria. He studied the teachings, rituals and practices for their applicability to the Western people, to them where appropriate to integrate into its integrated system of thought. Keyserling's philosophy postulates the need for an International individualism and thus differs fundamentally from political systems and ideologies, as well as religious fundamentalisms.
His lectures on the "History of the styles of thinking" and "Transpersonal Psychology" at the College of Applied Arts were attended not only by students but also for anyone interested all ages and professions. 1974 was at the Vienna Film Academy a film by Kitty Kino on living in Vienna and teaching philosophy. A few years after the completion of the portrait, however, was lost. In 2003, the director the news of the re-emergence of the film. Kitty Kino decided to extend and expand the original work. In the middle of the work on the new project, Arnold Keyserling died on 8 September 2005.
